Genna Gottschalk
Case Manager

Genna Gottschalk earned her Master’s degree in Social Work Clinical Practice from Columbia University, following years of committed service as a Certified Intervention Professional (CIP) and a New York State Certified Addiction Recovery Coach. She is also a board member of the Association of Intervention Specialists (AIS). Her additional specialized training encompasses Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-informed care, psychodrama, and attachment-driven individual and family therapy.
Genna tailors her approach to each client, recognizing the uniqueness of their needs and developing a specialized plan of action. She approaches her work with compassion and respect, supporting individuals at every stage of their journey. Her methods are intuitive, drawing on a blend of paraprofessional experience, academic learning, and hands-on training to identify the specific needs of each client. Through effective communication, anchored in a community-based relational model, she empowers clients to engage in self-directed change best suited for their personal development.
With experience in working with individuals across all age groups, Genna has dealt with a wide range of addiction, behavioral, and mental health issues. Her diverse experience equips her with a robust understanding of how to engage clients struggling with a variety of challenges, including substance misuse, disordered eating, mood and personality disorders, anxiety, depression, thought disorders, OCD, and issues with executive functioning.
